What we collect, why we collect it, and the promises we make to the students, schools and advisors who build with us.

X Impact is built for students, schools and the advisors who back them, so privacy is not an afterthought. We collect the minimum we need to run the service, we never sell personal information, and we hold student data to a higher standard than the law requires.
Account details you give us (name, school, email), application details like which club category you want to start and why, and standard technical data such as device type and approximate region. Schools control what, if anything, is tied to individual students.
To review club applications, notify you about your status, recommend categories that fit your school, keep the service secure, and improve what we make. That is the whole list. We do not use student data for advertising.
When the service is used through a school, the school directs how student information is handled and we act as its service provider. We do not knowingly collect more from a student than is needed to review an application, and we never build advertising profiles of students.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people who need it, and we review our practices regularly. If anything ever goes wrong, we will tell affected schools and students promptly.
You can access, correct or delete account information at any time, and schools can request export or deletion of their data. Reach us and we will take care of it.
